United Feed Incorporated
United Feed, LLC becomes incorporated September 1, 1997 operating out of the CG&S feed mill in Hillsboro, KS. LLC members include Coop Grain & Supply (Hillsboro), North Central Kansas Coop Assn. (Hope), Andale Farmers Coop (Andale), Farmers Grain Cooperative (Walton), and Farmland Industries, Inc.

Hillsboro Facility
Construction begins on new $4.5 million facility in Hillsboro Industrial Park in fall of 1998.

Hillsboro Facility
Operations move from CG&S feedmill to the brand new automated facility in November, 1999.

Midwest Ag Service
Midwest Ag Service, LLC is formed to merge the feed business of four Northeastern Kansas based cooperatives on April 6, 1999. Members of the new LLC include Farmers Coop Elevator (Sabetha), Farmers Union Coop (Beattie), Ag Parnters Coop (Hiawatha), and Nemaha County Coop Assoc. (Seneca).

United Feed, LLC changes their name to Countryside Feed, LLC in early 2000

Midwest Ag Service Expands
Construction begins on the new Midwest Ag Service, LLC feedmill outside of Seneca, KS.

MKC & Countryside Feed
Feed Management System is installed providing an integrated batching system and accounting system. MKC becomes an LLC member after a merger with Farmers Grain Coop (Walton) in May 2002.

Countryside Feed Installation
Midwest Ag Service, LLC is awarded the Kansas Industrial Training (KIT) grant in July 2002.

Midwest Ag Service
The first test batch is ran in the brand new $5.7 million Midwest Ag Service, LLC fully automated feed mill on February 15, 2003. The new feedmill officially opens for business on March 1, 2003, replacing the 7 mills owned by each cooperative (located in Frankfort, Beattie, Centralia, Corning, Baileyville, Sabetha, and Powhattan).

Merger
MKC feed mill merges with Countryside Feed, LLC in Moundridge, KS in June 2005.

Midwest Ag Service
Midwest Ag Service, LLC in Seneca is accepted into OSHA’s Safety and Health Recognition Program (SHARPs) by Kansas Gubernatorial Proclamation on Nov. 13, 2006. This was the first feed mill accepted into SHARPs in OSHA Region 7 (KS, NE, IA, MO). The Seneca facility remains SHARPs certified today.

Farmers Coop Elevator
Farmers Coop Elevator (Halstead) joins Countryside Feed, LLC in June 2007.

Recognition
Countryside Feed, LLC is recognized as one of the top finalists for the 2009 Governor’s Award of Excellence.

Countryside Warehouse
Construction begins in Hillsboro on a warehouse expansion that will house a new shop, testing lab and create more storage space in June 2018.

Midwest Ag Service Expands
Midwest Ag Service, LLC in Seneca expands their facilities with an additional 9,528 square foot warehouse space, expanded automated bagging line, robotic bag stacker, sweet feed and screening systems.
Merger
Countryside Feed, LLC and Midwest Ag Service, LLC join to become the unified Countryside Feed, LLC on Dec. 1, 2018. The combined service area today includes the entire state of Kansas, Southeast quadrant of Nebraska, Western Missouri, Northern Oklahoma and Eastern Colorado.

The New Countryside:
Countryside Feed, LLC manufacturing facilities are located in Seneca, Hillsboro and Moundridge, additionally including a large dealership network and customer direct nutritional products. With our multiple locations we are able to service a larger area, including the majority of Kansas and parts of Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma and Colorado. Our branded product lines include Purina our own Builder Brands, and Provimi, as well as custom product options created to meet the individual needs of the producer.
Members of Countryside Feed, LLC include Cooperative Grain and Supply, Hillsboro, KS; MKC, Moundridge, KS; Farmers Cooperative Elevator Co, Halstead, KS; Kanza Cooperative, luka, KS; Agri Trails Coop, Hope KS; and Purina Animal Nutrition.
